GTA III also features another aircraft - the Airtrain - but it's an uncontrollable plane that is only seen in the game as a scenery prop and cannot be entered by the player.

How To Get Cars in GTA 3

In GTA III, you can simply steal any car and vehicle you find on the street. You can get any Sports Cars, SUVs, Gang Cars, and more. Click on the GTA 3 cars in our database to see all the locations where you can find them on the map.

Once acquired, you can store the GTA 3 vehicles inside the Safehouses and Garages owned by the protagonist Claude across the three islands (Portland, Staunton Island, and Shoreside Vale).

You can even enter Taxis and Emergency Vehicles (Ambulance, Fire Truck and Police Cars), which allow you to play the dedicated Vehicles Side Missions.

Can You Buy Cars in GTA 3?

No, it's not possible to buy cars in GTA 3.

And there is probably no need to. You can simply steal vehicles and directly store them in your garages/safehouses. There is no way to purchase vehicles in GTA III.

GTA 3 Cars List: Import / Export

GTA III features an Import/Export side-mission where you have to deliver a list of vehicles to certain garages and cranes for monetary rewards.

There are three Import/Export Locations in GTA 3, each with a different list of cars required. Check out our dedicated guide for all the details on the GTA 3 Import/Export Cars List locations.

After delivering all vehicles required for a certain garage/crane, floating pick-up icons will appear at the delivery location, allowing you to select and use any of those GTA 3 vehicles immediately, free of charge.

Can You Customize Cars in GTA 3?

No, there is no vehicle customization in GTA III.

However, it's possible to take the GTA 3 cars and vehicles to the "Pay 'n' Spray" shop/garage, which allows you to respray the vehicle in a different random color.

Bringing a GTA 3 vehicle to Pay 'n' Spray also completely repairs the vehicle and allows you to evade the police and immediately lose the wanted level - as the cops won't recognize you after changing the color of the car.

It's important to note that Emergency vehicles, such the Ambulance, Firetruck, and Police Cars cannot be repaired at Pay 'n' Spray, so you should be careful when driving them.

The fastest car in GTA 3 is the Infernus, with a top speed of 149 mph (240 km/h), making it the best vehicle in Grand Theft Auto III. It's closely followed by the Cheetah.

GTA 3 Car Cheats & Vehicle Spawn Codes

There are various GTA 3 Cheat Codes that you can use to affect vehicles, such as the ability to destroy all vehicles, improve car handling, and make cars fly.

There is also a cheat to spawn the Rhino Tank in GTA 3, which is activated with code "GIVEUSATANK" on PC. However, the Tank is the only vehicle spawn cheat code in GTA III, as more cheats were introduced in the next GTA games.
